serving divorce papers?
Ok,I served my husband with divorce papers by certified mail…i want to notify the court house in md that hes been served but i forgot to make a copy of the writ os summons.Can i still send them the form and the little green card with his signature?would that be enough or is it neccessary to attach a copy of the summons?
I dont really understand why youre the one sending him divorce papers as this is the responsibility of the courts where you filed for the divorce. This court is supposed to serve him by whatever means it takes (due process of the law) to avoid any questions later, so chances are they served him too and he had to sign for them, but keep your records and proceed with the divorce as planned. He knows the date and place either way.
Do I have to serve my spouse with divorce papers?
